Thirty-one days a whole class
can start together

Bring eighteen guided emotion journals to a class, a school, or a campus. They are reflective, with no clinical scales, so everyone can use the same book, and printed copies let you run the program without student accounts or data collection.

The six school starter books

Why schools can say yes quickly

01

No clinical scales

There are no depression or anxiety screening items, so the same book can go to every student without a screening process.

02

No student data required

Print the PDF and there are no accounts to create and no writing to collect. Students keep what they write.

03

Lessons and journals, paired

Short video lessons explain the emotion; the matching 31-day workbook turns it into practice. Use the four-week plan below as it is.

04

Supports SEL practice

Daily writing gives students regular practice in self-awareness and self-management, two widely used social-emotional learning competencies.

05

English and Korean editions

Matching page structure in both languages supports multilingual classrooms, Korean-speaking families, and international students.

06

Help resources inside

The books point readers to people and services they can reach out to, and we recommend sharing your local crisis resources with students.

Four-week unit plan

An example built on five minutes of daily writing and one or two 20–40 minute sessions a week. Stretch or compress it to fit your calendar.

WeekStudent writingSession activity
1DAY 1–7Introduce the emotion chart, write DAY 1 together, agree on a daily five-minute writing time
2DAY 8–14Share only the feeling words that came up most, grow an emotion vocabulary
3Midpoint reflection · DAY 15–21Find patterns, body signals and needs; write a small plan for the next seven days
4DAY 22–31 · One-month reviewComplete the review, write a letter to oneself, list the people and services to reach out to

Journals belong to the students. In sessions, invite them to share feeling words and reflections rather than what they wrote.

Where to start

Six books we suggest for whole-class use

Five books best used one-on-one with a counselor

The Depression, Panic, PTSD, OCD and ADHD editions touch on diagnostic topics, so we suggest using them with individual students in counseling rather than handing them to a whole class.

Purchasing questions

We need to use our own purchasing process.

Tell us what your office requires and we will prepare the paperwork to match.

Can one PDF be shared with many students?

Yes, within your institution license. A personal purchase is for one person.

We also need the Korean edition.

We can include both editions in one license.

Can staff use it for professional development?

Access to Emotionography Academy courses for staff can be arranged with your license.

Can the school see what students write?

With printed journals, students keep their own writing. We recommend sharing feeling words and reflections rather than entries.
