Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Emotionography Academy collects, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Account: the identifier, name, email address, and profile photo provided by Google or Naver when you sign in.
Learning: lesson progress and the name you put on a certificate.
Journal (only if you agree to server storage): what you write, the emotion words you pick, your age group, and a random device identifier. Otherwise entries stay in your browser.
Purchases: product, amount, time, payment status, and the payment processor's transaction ID. We never store card numbers.
Requests: the email and details you send in a school or launch-notice form.
Analytics: page, referrer, device type, and country, counted with an anonymous daily value. We do not store IP addresses.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a device cookie for journal entries written before sign-in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Who processes it

Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and storage, USA), Stripe, Inc. (USD payments, USA), NHN KCP (KRW payments, Korea), Google LLC and Naver (sign-in), and Anthropic PBC (AI comments, only when you request one, once the feature launches; not used for model training). We do not sell or share your information for advertising.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it or close your account. Purchase records are kept for 5 years as required by Korean e-commerce law, separated from your account.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information. Rename or delete your account in My learning, delete stored journal entries in My records, or email emotionography@my-emo.com. We respond within 10 days. If you are in the EU/UK or California, you have the rights given by the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to complain to your local authority.

Children

Children under 14 may use the service only with a parent or guardian's consent.
